HK government publicly tendering for land in the Tai Teng Tunnel area to be used as a high-speed charging station for electric vehicles. The tender deadline sets on November 6th.

The government announced on August 28th a public tender for the sale of Inland Lot No. 9105, located at 137 Tai Hang Road, Jardine’s Lookout, Hong Kong, for use as a high-speed charging station for electric vehicles. The tender closes on November 6th.

A spokesperson for the Environment and Ecology Bureau stated that the government, in February this year, released an updated version of the “Hong Kong Electric Vehicle Popularization Roadmap,” and will continue to adopt a multi-pronged approach, using policy guidance to build a public charging network with high-speed charging stations as its backbone, to fully support the application of electric vehicles in Hong Kong. The government has already launched public tenders for six petrol station sites for use as high-speed charging stations for electric vehicles, and one site for both high-speed charging and LPG refueling stations for electric vehicles. It will also select suitable petrol station sites for conversion as needed by the market.
