The first European standard flash charging station in Tuen Mun Gold Coast has been put into service, bringing a brand-new charging experience with “charge and go”.
On September 17th, the first European standard flash charging station, jointly built by Sino Group, BYD, CR EVIVA, and iCar Group, officially opened at the Gold Coast Shopping Mall in Tuen Mun, bringing car owners a more efficient and ultra-fast charging experience.
The Gold Coast Flash Charging Station held a grand opening ceremony on September 16th. The station boasts a single charging gun with a maximum output current of 1500A. This technology overcomes the bottleneck of grid load limitations, giving flash-charging electric vehicles equipped with BYD’s second-generation blade battery the convenience of refueling a gasoline car, achieving an ultra-fast charging efficiency of “fully charged in 5 minutes, fully charged in 9 minutes,” bringing a new “charge and go” charging experience. Under normal temperature charging conditions, BYD flash-charging electric vehicles can be charged from 10% to 70% in as little as 5 minutes, and from 10% to 97% in just 9 minutes. The project reflects the shared vision and commitment of all parties to promoting the development of new energy infrastructure and supporting green travel.
