First look at Volvo’s double-decker electric bus in Hong Kong: fully charged in as little as two hours.
The government is promoting the popularization of electric vehicles, aiming to introduce approximately 700 electric buses by the end of 2027. At the Asia Climate Action and Sustainable Development Trade Fair (ReThink HK) which opened on September 10th, Volvo Buses, a company with over 25 years of experience in the Hong Kong market, made its debut in Hong Kong with its new “Volvo BZL DD Electric” all-electric double-decker bus. It can accommodate up to 120 passengers (including approximately 82 seats, 2 wheelchair spaces, and standing room), and can travel 250 to 300 kilometers when fully loaded and with the air conditioning on. It can be charged from 10% to 100% in just 2 to 2.5 hours.
