A List of Electric Bike Charging Fees in 18 Shopping Malls: Consumer Council’s Rewards and Fee Model Investigation Revealed
With the widespread adoption of electric vehicles, the Consumer Council released a new article on 23rd July stating that a survey conducted earlier this year on 18 large shopping malls in Hong Kong revealed that only THE SOUTHSIDE and AIRSIDE provided charging facilities for every parking space. The proportion of charging spaces in shopping malls still falls short of the fact that electric vehicles account for over 26% of all private cars in Hong Kong, reflecting a significant gap between supply and actual demand. However, since the charging fees in each shopping mall are not uniformly calculated per kilowatt-hour, but involve multiple variables such as equipment power, charging efficiency, time of day, and idle fees, it is difficult to directly compare actual fees.
